I got sick and tired of grabbing the bullets out of the box they came in.  I don't have a strong mount for my dillon to attach a bullet tray, so I fabricated one from scratch out of T 6 aircraft grade aluminum I had laying around, tig welded it, painted it and called it a day.  Anyways here is the tray holding 200 count, 168 grain Sierra hollow point boat tails.
Reply:Smart design. Think i may copy it.
Reply:Thank you! As far as the design goes I think simplicity is best.
Reply:usmcruz, Looks good I agree simple is good and no need to reinvent the wheel.
Reply:Nice looking mod to the dillon.  I have to say that was a cheaper fix than buying one. So judging by your bullet selection I am going to guess you shoot a .308.... What type of rifle and what range do you shoot out to? I am an avid precision rifle shooter. I usually run the 175 SMK over varget with lapua brass. The 168 is a phenomenal accurate round I run the 175 due to my elevation and usual DA to keep it super sonic to 1000.
Reply:I run the 168, and the 200 grain sierras with the same accuracy.  My range here has only a 200 yard range, but ive shot as far as 1000 yards.  I shoot 1/8 moa at 100 yards all day long.  Opens up to a 1/4 moa at 200.  I run only lapua brass, varget, and cci br2, and federal primers, all loaded off a dillon xl 650.  Here is the 168 grain at 100 yards with a 11mph crosswind.
Reply:I forgot to mention my rifle is a remington 700 aac sd, nikon monarch scope 4-16*40, and a surefire muzzle brake.  The trigger is stock.

Reply:my new toy a jp ar15 and a five shot at 100 with some cheap .556  not bad but not great with the flyer..sorry second group in my other post is a 2 inch group fifth shot is kinda covered by the caliper. I was doing that to show group size subtracting bullet diameter. Attached ImagesLast edited by specopswelder; 10-16-2012 at 12:15 AM.
Reply:Very nice rifles and groups.  I won't be able to afford rifles like yours till my kids move out of the house.  Although I am happy to say that I showed up a guy at the range shooting a Sako T something.  The guy couldn't believe that was an off the shelf rifle, as well as there was no trigger work done.    if I'm ever in Mexico I will definitely hit you up.  Again very nice rifles!
Reply:Thank you on the rifle comments. It took me a long time to scrape the cash together for them . Happy shooting and I am probably steeling your try idea !

Reply:Nice. It's been close to 20 years since I was serious about shooting high power. I had a Winchester 70 rebuilt to decent match condition except getting the stock bedded to get into it a bit more seriously before my limited funds gave out and I got burned out on shooting every week. One of these days I'll get back into it again as I've still got all the gear, but it's getting harder and harder to find decent long range places to shoot near me without driving for hours.I have a parts AR that shoots phenomenal 100 yd groups with junk ammo, if the shooter can do his part. I've seen an old buddy of mine shoot 1/2" and smaller 5 shot prone groups with it, but then he shot High Master. I could never get it to group as well for me as I could my M1A or even my old M1917. I think the stock is too short to fit me well. You guys are making me want to dig around in my garage and dig out my .223 ammo and drag my heavy barrel Savage out to the range and sight in the scope I picked up for it on sale at Cabelas this summer..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:USMCRUZ,why haven't you dropped a trigger in your Rem yet? That's usually the first mod I do; Timney's are fairly inexpensive.  Even at that, last time I had a 'smith do the trigger, it was only $50.Hey, I'm not saying you NEED to, not with groups like that but a crisp trigger sure gives a guy a good feeling I've got a CZ that I just LOVE cuz of the 2 stage set trigger.I agree with you on the Sierras...and I live in the land of Nosler (don't tell anybody).  Actually I use the Sierras for their .358 225gr Spitzer boattails (35 Whelen)Lincoln SA 200Esab Caddy 160Thermal Arc 201TSMiller Dialarc HFI don't like making plans for the day because then the word "premeditated" gets thrown around the courtroom....
Reply:I really want one.  I've been looking at triggers for a little bit now.  Its  a toss up between the timneys and the jewel triggers.
Reply:That is one too many bullets.  Indeed, that is a design worth copying.  Great one.
Reply:For anybody that wants the plans here you go.  I hope I don't confuse anybody.  My drawings are not the best.
Reply:Tuning a factory Remington trigger isn't really all that difficult.  Check out this video, but don't get turned off by the title.  Its really about how that trigger works and how far you can safely tune it.Miller 250x & Lincoln V205-TSmith Oxy-Prop torch
Reply:I have a 40 X trigger that came stock on my Remington.  I don't think you can tune a 40 X.  If you can I'm game!  This video is pretty cool, thank you.A gentleman on another forum had an idea about using a ammo can to catch his loaded rounds coming off the press because the catch bin that comes with the press is too small, and I agree.  I still have to paint it and do a couple other things but other than that here it is.Dream it build it!This is video of it on the press. http://static.photobucket.com/player...-22-47_218.mp4  Last edited by usmcruz; 10-17-2012 at 02:08 PM.
Reply:My birthday is coming up so my boy bought me a toy rifle.  It isn't a real Mattel, but the lower is plastic, along with the furniture.
