Scored 100 33# spools of Flux core wire---FREE!

A local heavy equipment dealer gave me 100 spools of flux core wire today, 50 each of Hobart and some other off brand, they don't have any wire feeders and were going to throw it away.  Some of it will be bad I'm sure, but I can use most of it. Reply:Hello ExpatWelder, what you have there is a lot of self-shielded wire. I am familiar with the Hobart wire, not the other stuff. In my neck of the woods the Hobart T8 would be used for seismic/structural applications in all positions. I believe the other wire is a bit more limited, mainly by it's positional capabilities. So if you have a lot of outdoor welding  to do or a really good ventilation system you definitely have quite a find there. Good luck and have fun. Best regards, Allanaevald

I can PM you at least three, very well respected guys here, that I hope would vouch for me!But some how I think it would just be less expensive to purchase locally! I never had anything shipped from Ghana.And Expat, if it makes you some extra cash, I'm happy with that. Reply:I thought i was king of the scores when i bought a pallet of 0.072" NR-232 for $150.  Yours was even a better deal.  That T-8 self shielded wire is a beast in and of its self.  Once you run a couple rolls of it you will learn to like it.    Its a great wire for structural repairs on anything over 3/8"Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
