Bought a box of old torches - had to buy them all to get the one i wanted (36'' victor straight torch). 5-6 complete torches and some misc handles.Only one that has me curious though. Handle is simple enough WH-260c, very petite little thing , not sure what I would ever use it for but the head has me a little puzzled. CA250 made in USA Victor. I looked up the 250 and all the pics I can find show this as a 2 tube light/medium duty head in the cutskill line. Mine is a 3 tube?Seems like a nice little torch, might keep it to start the kids off with - might be easier for lil fingers than one of my journeyman rigs. The middle girl is 4 going on 14 and thinks that she should be my helper on every job lol.BTW - Lousy pics. I am cheap, my phone makes calls that's all i want it to do. The camera was a bonus but not much of a bonus. It does not have macro or close up or any other whatchamajiggers. Reply:There are a few of these floating around - I used to have one as well. Nothing special, but the third tube does keep the gases separated until they reach the head. Theoretically it may allow slightly thicker steel to be cut due to increased oxygen flow capability, but I have a feeling the handle may be the limiting factor there. It should use the standard Victor medium duty cutting tips and in all respects be a fine torch. Value-wise, it's worth the same as the CA1350 or other comparable medium-duty cutting attachments.I have heard that some jobsites won't allow torches with 2 tubes as it increases likelihood of flashback. That's why Smith and others make 3-tube tip-mix torches. Victor may have jumped on that bandwagon at one time and made some of these.Your handle is a standard medium-duty as you say, comparable to the older Victor 100 series, not the 100C or FC since it doesn't have built in check valves or flash arrestors.
Reply:Thanks, I figured it would be something common - just not around here. I'll hang on to it just for grins. Was a gold mine box though - the lil torch, a 36'' straight, two 180 degree heavy vics with handles, couple sets of quick connects, smith heavy torch and odds n ends - $250When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, "This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know," the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives.
