Ran across a brand new used once Hobart Handler for 165.00 at a Flea market today, looked like it had just been removed from the box, not a mark/scuff on it... is that a good price if so may go back and see if its still there tomorrow...
Reply:Yes, good price around here. I would buy it and re-sale for $250.Last edited by wb4rt; 05-03-2014 at 07:43 PM.Burt _____________________Miller Syncrowave 250Millermatic 211Miller 375 Plasma Cutter Hobart Handler 12010FtDrillBit.com
Reply:I would not spend more than $200 on one personally. Great machine but a replacement gun for it is like $175Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:Guy said they were 329.00 new at TSC farm supply, figure if he would take 140-150 for it would be a really good buy, considering its basically new... may go back tomorrow and see if its still there.. thanks for the info..
Reply:If you're wanting a MIG to run solid wire and c25 shielding gas, I'd skip on the Handler 125. Save your money and purchase something better. The 125 is an entry level unit that at best is an OK solid wire unit. It offers a very limited material thickness range that it can be used on. When it's set up with solid wire 1/8" material is to thick for the 125 to weld properly. The Handler 125 is a good fluxcore unit, ( I really like the 125 EZ for this application), but I wouldn't purchase one to run solid wire, even at a significant price reduction.ESAB Migmaster 250 Hobart Ironman 230Multimatic 215TWECO Fabricator 181i & 211iHH125EZ - nice little fluxcore only unitMaxstar 150 STH - very nice
Reply:Ignore the above. The 125 is a very solid unit. Any 110v machine is good for about 1/8" with solid wire and I wouldn't push it thicker.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer

Reply:Id buy it if it were cheap. I do find everyone selling a uused machine always says its only been used once. If you take care of your tools its amazing what they look like after you wipe them down and clean them up. I dont know if you have a use for a smaller machine but reselling it for a profit to put towards another machine would be a good choice too.HH140---------------------------https://www.facebook.com/brandon.pike.9 |
