As you can see from the first photo, th Farmer used the Blade as a "battering ram".Gentle pursuasion with a 20 ton jack convinced it to straighten up!A piece of angle iron attached across the bottom rear should stiffen it up!More bracing material needs to be added down the back.Notice how straight it is in the final photo?Remember! Its not all about welding, first you to get it into weldable condition!PSPhoto's are slightly out of order..... Reply:Holy crap! Thats a good one!Nothing Ever Got Done By Quitting, Never Give Up.
Reply:Looks Good, Hope your not doing too much welding in that shed
Reply:Great idea rigging up the jack , ibeam  , and chains , ill use that one in the future for sure!
Reply:No, I don't weld inside, I have 50 foot cables to be able to weld in the dirt.Even in winter, one welding bench sits outside. Most of the time the builiding isn't so packed up with treasure. My Dad passed away this past spring, I hauled a bunch out of there and unloaded it.I have been sorting it out slowly and making decisions on keep or recycle.
Reply:Sorry about your loss...Good job and creative rigging. Have to store that one in the noggin.DannyMy SiteJust worrying 'bout what I can't get to today.
Reply:Did I mention that it arrived in 2 pieces? He tore the 3 point frame off from the Indexing Angle Plate!I got one side welded back on but being a 1/2 by 3 inch by 7 inch plate. I decided that I'll just cut a new one and weld it on instead of straightening the bent piece.I added a couple of 1/2 inch by 3 inch stiffener bars on the back. I haven't deciced if I'll put a simple bar across the back of the braces or weld a couple of small pieces in between the blade and braces. Attached Images
Reply:Obviously it had to be broken completely off or he'd still be using it.  If you aren't breaking it, you obviously aren't using it hard enough! .No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan

Reply:One of my customers was referring to his full grown pigs as $200 pigs.  Some were injured so I'd assume that's just a ballpark figure. My name's not Jim....
Reply:Finally got it all reassembled! Now just need for him to stop by when I'm home to load it.Back to the "real" job on Monday..  Attached Images
Reply:Awesome method of straightening it out with the I-beam, chain, and bottle jack! Can't say I would have thought of that.
