Hey, i'm thinking about becoming a welder, and i'm scouting around for places that would have good programs to learn welding. I have a High School Diploma but no other prior experience in welding. I live in midtown atl, and I need help to look for a place thats close, and that isn't a "scam" per se.
Reply:Gwinnett Technical College comes to mind as a possibility.  It's not close to mid town but in off traffic hours not a bad commute.
Reply:Welcome christion.  I'm also in Atlanta .  I'm a self taught welder, learned from books, videos,  and websites like this.   I know of several technical schools locally with welding programs (atl tech. Gwinnett tech.) And Lanse (aka chuckie 2009) has visited and done videos on Georgia trade school which is in Kennesaw.   I don't belive any of these would be scams as they are legitimate schools, but I cannot say if one is better than another.  Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
