Weird TIG welder problem fixed

Ok, so got my Lincoln V205T all setup at my In-laws house so I could do some TIG practice.   cleaned a bunch of coupons and was all set to go.  I start out with instant black crud welds.   so check machine,  try a few more and it looks like I'm welding with Argon CO2...   so check machine again and go through all the settings.  try again and nothing.  all power is on , no error codes, check manual...    ok  so time to try stick...  nothing using tig torch.  but works with Stinger...   Turns out the Tig cable had come unscrewed from the connector inside of the rubber housing boot!   sheesh... well now I its getting dark and a quick test confirms all is fixed...   so will give it another try later this week.   I guess if I could hear I would have noticed the gas escaping out the boot.   Then again, the Invertec vents out the front (pet peeve) rather than the rear so not sure I would have heard it even then..    Just thought I would share as it might help someone else out at some point....Tiger Sales:  AHP Distributor    www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P,  Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.  For Sale:  Cobra Mig 250 w/ Push-pull gun.  Lincoln Wirematic 250
