So I'm trying to switch from 1/16 to .30-.35 liner. I bought the new liner model# 194011 and it's different. What am I missing. I will attach pictures of the two liner ends. This whip is going on a miller x - treme 12vs. Thanks Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
Reply:The one on the left is for the M-25 the one on the right looks like a Tweco style.
Reply:Here is a picture of the M-25 end with the liner that came with it. When I install the new liner both the whip and liner have threads. Anyone have a picture of another M-25 whip end?ThanksSent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
Reply:Can you show us a picture of the of the actual gun? Miller's website is stating the feeder comes with a Bernard gun. Not an M-25.ESAB Migmaster 250 Hobart Ironman 230Multimatic 215TWECO Fabricator 181i & 211iHH125EZ - nice little fluxcore only unitMaxstar 150 STH - very nice
Reply:The one on the left looks like it fits a typical miller plug & doesn't need the lock nut (like the one in the first pic below). The one on the right could be for a miller but it should have a flat washer or o-ring for the gas seal... The hobart/tweco style liners usually have a flat rubber band where the brass end is crimped and the seal is made where the bore changes from .3" to .270" inside the plug. Miller plugs usually have a straight through .3" bore. I've attached a detail of a typical 350-174H Hobart/Tweco plug for reference.Looks like your plug has an "outie" end where I'm used to seeing an "innie", it would make no difference unless you lose the end. I still think there should be an o-ring or something to gas seal that end.Anyway, good luckMatt Attached Images |
