Title says most of it... What do y'all think a 9 year old Dynasty 200DX is worth? Just the machine...Also, what might a HTP Invertig201 be worth? No idea on the age, but comes with everything but a bottle and regulator.

Reply:average 12 years out of an inverter. so maybe 1/4 of the price of a new one.
Reply:I would not pay much for it. If it worked a couple hundred bucks. This is sort of like used diesel truck prices. I would just buy a new one.
Reply:Thanks guys! The guy is asking $1200 for the Dynasty and admits it's had a rough life. He's wanting $1500 for the HTP. Not sure if want to drive an hour to look at them or not. The HTP looks immaculate in the pictures, but that doesn't always say everything.
Reply:let him find a sucker to sell it too. Don't be that sucker.

Reply:@ slickgtp - not a nickel over $700, assuming the arclight timer's low-use and she's in mint condition. If she gives us the ghost on Day #2 of use, you're out the cost of an offshore fishing trip or a wild-@$$ weekend out with the boys. Honestly, roll of the dice bro. If your sixth-sense says rip her, know that the smoke genie could leave the bottle at any time without any warning."Discovery is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought" - Albert Szent-Gyorgyi
Reply:If going used it should be lightly used. Look at arc starts and weld time from the display. Personally I think that and the overall scratch and dent factor are more important than calendar age. |
