What lense to use in a pancake?

I just ordered a pancake hood and was wondering what solar lense is the best and what shade? Any suggestions welcome. Info behind the suggestions would help too! I want to buy a nice one so I don't go blind
Reply:I bought a solera and hated it. After that I switched to a fixed shade and a battery powered eqc lens for clarity

Reply:I am always against A/D lenses. Not for any specific fault of the lens. I just feel more comfortable with fixed shade.You can never go wrong with a shade 10 or 11 gold lens. Or even one of those cheap Lincoln High Visibility lenses.I've used an ArcZone A/D.. those ones where it goes from off to shade 10. It was nice, but kept going out on me in some awkward positions.
Reply:I've got a shade 10 blue I got for next to nothing.Really nice for 100-200amp stick.Shade 11 gold is nice for 100-200amp mig.
