Any ideas on a water based solvent for my parts washer?Contrary to popular belief, one can still purchase dino solvents here in the PRK (but no Kangaroo meat). However, I'd rather not pay over $5 a gallon for the stuff.

Reply:Vipermanz,Simple Green would eat a hole in my parts washer before it'd touch a gob of grease. I had a friend that soaked a very nice tablesaw blade in Simple Green and it ate a hole in the blade.I've tried the purple stuff but it just doesn't cut it. It definitely takes the grease out of the laundry better than Simple Green but doesn't dissolve grease in the parts washer.PRK -- People's Republic of Kalifornia.

Reply:I used to be able to buy "safety solvent". Went back to get more and "we can't sell that to you anymore". I started using mineral spirits, didn't see any difference.
