Reply:no problems, honestly, for instance:last time I used mine on the job, I was running 045 dual shield, in position, around anywhere from 12-18 inch pipe. I use it because it covers my face/ neck very well and its nice being able to dial in what shade I feel comfortable with, for dual shield im 12-13.and for the record, I have done that with hard-wire, stick, dual-shield, flux core, cutting-torch, plasma, air-arc, tig, and have had the helmet about 5 years and am still on the factory gasket, albeit beat to shreds and barely holding together. the rest of it is in pretty good shape aside from some super-glue in the headgearbosses stuff:trailblazer 325maxstar 200my stuff:sa 200fronius transpocket 180100 amp Lincoln w/f97 f350 DITKevin

Reply:I dunno. . . . .ill just blab a bit more about my experience with itI bought it because I was building grating in-shop which consisted of like, a million 1/4" welds all very close together and was told by my boss to buy an electric helmet if I want to keep up. I had been through numerous electric lenses in my basic Jackson and hated them so I figured I would try the best!great hood, and it carried me day-in and day out through that shop for the next few years before I got kicked out to be a pipe fitter, plumber, welder, whatever I am. not much later I land on a f*****d up hospital with supplementary steel being added after all piping and ductwork is in place. . . . .and all existing steel is monocoated. that hood is not very good for that kind of work, I felt bad destroying something that was worth one of my paychecks when I originally bought it, plus it just plain didn't fit in most the spots I needed to be in.I find the glass lens I keep in my huntsman to be optically superior, and the smaller huntsman gets me where I need to go. the ol' elite only comes out when im in a spot to where I cannot where a hood, like I have to hang it somewhere between me and the work, or if I end up back in the shop doing pipe prefab, which is often dual-shield, and the added protection/ shading of the elite keeps me from getting fried.bosses stuff:trailblazer 325maxstar 200my stuff:sa 200fronius transpocket 180100 amp Lincoln w/f97 f350 DITKevin
