Then laugh but then again, it wouldnt have happened to me unless I wanted it to.Seems like a bunch of lazy useless union or kissbut types to me. How can they afford to make a useless video like this? Non educational but people like that get knocked out or go to the hospital in my neighborhood.

Reply:Originally Posted by SuperArcI'll have to completely and respectfully disagree with you.  After watching the video, I took it as a harmless joke and violence or retaliation never even crossed my mind.I'm sure it was some "down time" before work was to get started with these guys and being in the "Union" has nothing to do with some old fashioned humor and ribbing.     For most, it's probably better to take some friendly hazing at a job with coworkers, rather than throw a fit and cry about being "picked on."Haven't you ever been at a job where the "new" guy gets a friendly hazing, ribbing or jabbing and "takes it" all in stride and even laughs it off with the onlooking co-workers?    What happens after that?  Well, I'll tell you.  The rest of the new guy's co-workers now know that the "new" guy can take a joke and his co-workers have some respect for him, for not being a whiny bitch about the whole episode.Ever see a guy that has a stick up his butt and can't take a joke?  Chances are, a guy like that has ZERO friends at work and pretty much everyone shows the cry baby little to no respect.  Ever hear the old adage of "they wouldn't play with you if they didn't like you"?Ever been on a sports team or in the military with guys in a small unit?  What happens if someone gets all butt-hurt and can't take a joke?  That cry baby is now an outcast and has a hard time adapting to everyone else around him.  I watch Angels baseball  and literally after every game, somebody get soaked with sticky Gatorade poured over their head and a shirt ripped off their back.   Everyone laughs and they all get along at work.  Guys that cant take it are NO fun to be around and they carry a bad reputation with them, wherever they go now.  It's called being a "poor sport."  That's the problem with people now.  They can't take it.  They cry and actually make their own lives miserable at the workplace.  Thats why work has become so politically correct with "Sensitivity training" and such.   Sorry, but striking somebody in the "solar plexus" over a HARMLESS $7 ball-cap joke, is just really sad.  It was harmless and the "recipient" of the joke handled it perfectly and calmly.   If anything, it breaks the ice and establishes a bond amongst men.Obviously this group of Pipeliners (you know, "MEN") in the video all handled it in stride and the recipient took it quite well.

Reply:We used to set up an unsuspecting "victim" (usually a newbie on the job) by challenging them with a bet that they couldn't tilt their head back and drop a quarter off their nose and into a funnel which was inserted into their belt line below their navel, with their eyes closed.We would gather a group of co-workers around and work up the challenge by saying something like "Anybody that wants to bet with "newbie", get your quarters out.  OK newbie, any quarters that you manage to get into the funnel, you get to keep.So, the funnel went into his pants all the way to the crotch, newbie tilts his head back and the ring leader places a quarter on newbies nose and says shut your eyes and drop the quarter when you are ready.As soon as newbie shuts his eyes, somebody pours a cup of water into the funnel.
