I know , I know I can buy some metal bar and cut it on my Rage 3 metal saw, but I'm lazy, does any company sell precut 45-45-90 triangles of various thicknesses, say 1/4 or so and about 2" legs to strengthen corners of rectnagular frames?I looked on mcmasterhttp://shop.wagnercompanies.com/sear...yword=triangleand some other places, and no lucksomething like this photo pre cut of course
Reply:thanks their online website is not too user freindly I'll just call them tomorrow. there is one right in Charlotte, nc.
Reply:They wanted a $1.40 each plasma cut for 3/16 thick 1.5x1.5" right angle triangles. not too bad

Reply:When searching use "gussets" not triangle, you'll probably have better luck.My steel yard has several buckets of various sizes inside, along with brackets. They are pretty cheap and saves your blade since 45 degree flat cuts are hard on blades.
Reply:You could just go and try your local machine shop with a Plasma cutter who would gladly make some for you from some scrap plate or a leftover from a job, dependant on how many you want would determine the price, but its not going to break the bank, and you'll then have a supplier for future needs |
