If I want to switch out my regular 4 1/4"x2" "standard" lens for a new "gold" one, is it a straight across the board swap?  In other words,  a #10 regular for a #10 gold?  Reason I ask is that I've read how when going to a gold lens, some people either go up or down by one shade of what they previously had.   At the moment, I can't remember which direction on the "shade scale" one goes to with the gold.    I'm not sure if a gold lens #10 is darker or lighter than a #10 "regular" (green) lens.  Or, is it an even scaled swap between the two lenses (ie. 10 = 10)?  Logic would lead me to believe that a shade #10 is a shade #10.   Maybe I'm wrong.   Badly seeking an answer to this dilemma before I buy gold. Reply:10 is a 10.  I love the gold lens for uphill.  Absolute full clear view of the puddle.  The mirrored coating does a great job of killing the arc flare."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
