i have been reeding the project threads all day so i thought i would add one of my own....first up is a meat grinder i made i breed and show american bullys and feed them raw meat as much as posible wich means grinding up whole hogs at a time it takes a loooong time with a hand grinder lol so... i bought a meat grinder and attached a motor to it when i first got the pieces i bolted it to a old wooden folding tv tray.  i called it the grinder of death it shook itself across the room  then i welded together a flat "table" for it put a variable size pully on it and made it adjustable so i could use different speeds wired it up with a nice switch and painted it Attached Images
Reply:next a friend of mine sold me a really nice bbq grill its really heavy like you would find in a nice park but i wanted a smoker so i got an old air tank and made one....works great i have probably cooked a 100 pounds of brisket on it since i built it as a side note these were built ad a buddys house with materials on hand since i didnt have a shop welder or torch.....but now i do so better things to come Attached Images

Reply:Is that just a standard 1700 rpm motor? how do you like the grinder speed? I would assume it is on fast side. I really like the idea of making the task of hand grinding meat easier.

Reply:Ok well I like the grinder I can feed it and feed it as long as the meat is roughly 2" cubes and yeah its prety fast but I can slow it down substantially with the varying size  pully I have ....like on a drill press I think the motor is 1500 1/4 horse it was a cheapy at tsc ....and I will post some of the pictures of my dogs when I get home ....haven't had a chance to get professional pics of them yet but that's comming later after I get there kennels built next month ....And then my shop and then.....Last edited by texasrednek; 02-05-2013 at 01:06 PM.

Reply:ok giblin here are a few pictures of my girls the big blue is my girl dora she shows and will be bred next  year the smaller fawn is burn she was my first bully she wont ever show or breed i dont like her temperment not dangerous just not what im looking for in putting back in my yard the last is janie the little pup shes about twice that size now any way like i said not porfesional and im dirty in most of them having just gotten off work lol Attached Images
Reply:Some fine looking girls you have there, the second girl has that mean look  I don't think I've ever seen an american bully over here, the closest we have over here are the staffordshire bull terriers but they seem smaller than your girls, that pup is one cool mo fo
Reply:Thanks giblin they are the same "type" of dog as a staffy and there are a few bullys in Europe but the breed is only 20 years old and still developing and gaining popularity (which isn't necisarily a good thing)  but you should see more of them in the next few years a lot of people are getting them in xountrys that don't allow pit bulls because they look like pits kinda but have a different name so they are trying to cheat I just hope they don't get caught that's a lot of dogs getting put down because of a stupid rule.....but on the project side of this thread lol I will be putting up there kennels in the next few weeks so I will post some pics of that for sure
Reply:yeah exactly, the demand for staffys has gone nuts over the past few years since pitbulls are banned, but then people try train the staffy to be like a pit and we'll end up losing staffys because of it when people have the notion that staffys are naturally dangerous (which isn't true)....anyway sorry for changing the direction of this  have fun with the kennels
