Has anyone ever had any experience with a Fronuis power supply, I just recently aquired a robotic weld cell from lincoln but instead of a power wave I have the Fronuis TransPuls Synergic 5000 power supply and feeder. I cannot believe it, this thing just welds awesome. I only ran a metal cored wire so far I just got the alluminum mount for the spool and should be trying that soon, which I understand from my welding supplier that this machine is basically the best on the market for alluminum, I really never heard of that brand before so I was suprised. Anyone else have any experence with these?
Reply:These are awesome units! I've sold 4 of them, all for aluminum applications. Fronius is a family owned company from Austria, they are # 1 in Europe. They came to the states in 2002, and are looking to make a huge dent in the states down the road. The customers that have bought these, were running Miller and Lincoln push pull aluminum, and can't believe the arc starts these units have on aluminum. Fronius is already huge in this country in the automotive plants, with several large companies buying these for robotic applications.
Reply:They - Meaning Fronius has also come up with a variant method of metal transfer for GMAW that enables one - when the system is set properly, to weld Aluminum to Steel"Run Silent... Run Deep!!!
