Here is my fiances valentines day present finally finished. It is 5 mild steel roses that are black oxided with 1 stainless steel rose in the center which was sandblasted and colored with a oxy fuel torch. It is kinda hard to see the color in the pictures. The rose stems were scrolled and textured to all meet as one at the bottom and tig welded together. The vase is made out of a piece of schedule 80 2 inch pipe. I forged the bottom down and forged welded it together to a point and split the top and drawed the sides out and flared them. Drilled some holes and stiched them back together with 3/32 copper flashed steel tig wire. The vase holder is a piece of stainless steel 1/2 inch rod which I scrolled around and down and sandblasted it also and heat colored it. Finally everything was clear coated with Rustoleum Crystal Clear paint. Hope you guys like the pics.
