I'm making a couple welding tables, 5'x5'x5/8" 35" high. I was originally planning on using 4x9.5lb/ft I-beam, but now I'm not so sure on that. I will be putting cross supports every 12" along the top. I want it to be rigid enough to be able to pull the top flat. I will be bolting the top down. Is I-beam the way to go or would channel be more cost efficient and still work just as well? Or should i just go with 1/4"+ wall square tubing?John 3:16(2) Miller Pheonix 456(2) Millermertic 252Dynasty 210DXHobart 210MVPDoringer D350 SA Cold SawScotchman 350LT Cold SawWebb 10x50 MillWebb 15x40 LatheGeka Bendicrop Ironworker
