I got tired of oiling my air tools before each use, or I forgot, or couldn't find my oil. So I made this up.Quick fitting->oiler->female barb->whip->male barb->quick disconnect.Ignore the regulator, it's optional and I had spares so I used it. I put it in because it saves me from running back to the AC to change pressure if I'm 100' away.I no longer have the bulk of an oiler hanging off the end of the tool waiting to get broken. I only need 1 oiler for all my tools. The oiler is out of the way of most harm. Make the whip longer to move the oiler further away.Only the whip gets saturated with oil. My main lines stay clean.edit: Actually I made two. For running two tools at the same time or I have a spare if one gets mangled. Reply:Neat tool, although I'm not sure of the oiler. Is it a self-contained unit? It looks awefully small. Zap - you win a free pass to the metal mania chat room! John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:Yep, oiler's self contained and holds about an ounce or two. With light use the oil lasts a few weeks, with all day use the oil lasts a day or three. I got the idea way back when I worked at Ford in assembly.I built it because I forgot my oil bottle one day while working in the middle of nowhere. So I went to working anyway and buggered an IR die grinder and didn't do my air shear any good. Oil is one less thing I worry about now when I'm short on time and patience to get something done.
