Hi,I just finished installing a stainless backsplash that I made for a kitchen.  It's a #4 brushed finish.  I went to great pains to make sure all the cuts were perfect and that there were no scratches before I did the install.  It went very well and it looks great, but I had to enlarge one of the outlet holes a little, and in the process I made a scratch in the finish.  Crap.  What are good methods for restoring this finish?  I don't want to have to re-finish the whole piece, and I don't want to make a new one (obviously).  I don't know of the proper tools to make a straight-line scratch pattern that is this finish.  Does anyone have experience with this kind of finish work? Thanks,Brook
Reply:The blue scotchbrite on a 4" pneumatic wheel should give you a 320 grit average, very close to #4.You'll find the tan, red and green too course.
