Range of qualification for partial welded joints

Hi,I have a question regarding range of qualification for partial joints.My welding procedure (WPS) qualify welding thicknesses range 30-120mm for butt welds.Job to be welded is 20mm partial single "V" from 100mm thick plate in both side. (see attachment).Welding done as per Norsok M-101.Does WPS will be OK to weld for such job?Please advise.Regards,Jaideep Hiray

Reply:jaideep,the answer is no , but you can create a new wps from your WPQR .

Reply:your WPS is CJP Groove Welds and you have to make a weld without root penetration (PJP Groove).You do not have the good weld detais on your wps.
