Pics say it all. I got this stuff from my old neighbor who died in 1979, so we are talking vintage late 60's early 70's stuff here. Dug it out tonight to see what I have, gearing up for TIG capability one way or the other. Notice all this stuff is made in the USA. The smaller torch is an Airco Products with a hose/conductor running to it. The larger torch is in better shape. What you want to be that zip on cable sheath is asbestos? Regulator is Meco, ring a bell? Attached Images
Reply:Pics of the tungsten and cups. Unfortunately, most of the cups fit the small torch which is not in good shape. I am going to buy a bottle of argon tomorrow and see what I've got, after necessary testing and repairs of course. Any of these brand names look familiar to anyone? I figure at least the tungsten us useable if nothing else is. Attached ImagesLast edited by polarred21; 04-09-2013 at 09:10 PM.
Reply:Forgot the pics of the small torch, an ancient Vis-Arc by Airco Products. Anyone ever seen a hose / conductor all in one? Attached Images
Reply:I'd say your set on consumables for awhile! Nice collection!
Reply:Most of the tig hoses out there for smaller units are a "one piece" with the conductor running inside the gas feed hose. |
