Reply:Nice job there Terry. I take it the diamond plate alum is you cooling tank? Did you do a build thread on this that I missed somehow?.No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:HTP221 25' Water Cooled Setup mounted in a rack I made under my cabinet. I still have to build the drawers to keep consumables in. Also I still have to build a welding table that will slide in under it. Big argon tank is on the other side of the door to the right next to the air compressor.Last edited by mikeb9550; 12-23-2012 at 09:51 PM.Hobart Handler 210 with SpoolgunHypertherm PM30 PlasmaHTP 221 Tig WelderHF BandsawHF Auto Dark Helmet

Reply:Originally Posted by OscarI'm pretty darn sure he is looking to see how people have set up their TIG setups on welding carts to get ideas for tank placement, machine placement, filler rod holders, water cooler placement, etc. Those links don't help any.  Perhaps he could have been clearer on his request, but I don't see how thinking for a second or two would not reveal to oneself that the OP is not looking to "look at a tig welder" just for the hell of it.My creativity/imagination for creating setups is not there, since I'm no fabricator, so I can understand how "seeing" setups gets the proverbial hamster wheel rolling in order to modify them to one's liking/benefit.
Reply:Originally Posted by shovelonThanks. No build thread. This was my kid's project last year. Old school rules.Yes it is, but more of a reservoir, no radiator. The cooling is convection. The tray is an isolated  heat  sink, tank cover, and pump mount. The tank was constructed with mounts and brackets to draw heat out of the tank.  Old school rules.I have another one for the 700 in the works with a radiator top. Perhaps a build thread can come out of it.
Reply:I remember seeing someone here do an alum cart for their tig and the 1st thought I had was to wonder if they'd chosen to use the alum tube frame as a radiator/reservoir and really trick it out. No luck on that one though..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Originally Posted by Drf255Does the reservoir ever get hot enough where you worry about the machine itself getting cooled?  I'd be afraid of having my machine in a 3 sided oven, but you've obviiously beat the crap out of the machine with no problems.

Reply:Cooler is on top of my Airco 330ABP like squimypug.   Drawer hold all the consumables..   wheels are mounted backwards so handle is on rear instead of in the front blocking the controls.... that's what the welding table is for.  My rod oven now sits next to the cooler as well. Reply:Modified shopping cart recovered from drainage culvert, thanks to our county workers.Last edited by nikodell; 12-24-2012 at 12:58 PM.I've thought fora while one of these "short" shopping carts many of the grocery stores have would make an excellent "job" cart for any number of things. I worked one job where one of the trim guys had his compressor on the bottom of the cart and his trim tool bucket and nails/nail gun in the top of the basket so he could roll it all from room to room. Air hose was coiled on one side, extension cord on the other..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
