Have a couple of questions for the forum and could really use some assistance.1.  Have a 48ft drop deck, former race car trailer, not fancy, that we converted into a mobile work shop.  Pull with a 2 axle Freightliner with a deck we built to mount the Miller Big Blue air pak.  Most of our work is alum tanker trailers so we use a SP30A spool gun 100ft and 100ft ground cable.  Also have a Miller suitcase pak and air arc equipment and cables for those.  Also have several 100ft air hoses 3/8 and 1/2......so therefore we have a "wound up mess" of sorts.  Over the counter reels are expensive....does anyone have some good plans for reels or pictures...have seen some on the Miller forum and I think on this forum.  My problem is limited time and design time.....2.  Needing to rewire trailer for 110 volt, 230 volt 50 amp and run 12 volt LED lights where needed.  Have seen some halogen light buckets on the race car sights to house Halogen lights to be mounted on the exterior of trailers.  Am going to rewire the interior of the trailer just like my 40ft toyhauler....with panels converter, and use shore cords etc.  Question is does anyone have any suggestions for exterior lighting down the side of the trailer? Many thanks!!!!
Reply:The problem is the length of your cables. At that length you've pretty much got to go with hand crank or motor drive. The problem with hand crank is that unless you have miter gears you've got to have room beside the reel for the crank. With that many reels it can be hard to find enough room.   It just gets so complicated so quickly that it starts looking better to buy though I do admit that they are not cheap.   At 50' length the cheap air hose reels from Harbor Freight work fairly well for what they are. However I'm not sure how well they'd hold up to the bouncing of a vehicle.   My thread on reels is only one of a number of threads on this site. But it might help you get some ideas so here it is.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43051Millermatic 252XMT 304'sDynasty 280DXHypertherm PowerMax 1250Miller Trailblazer 302 EFIOptima PulserXR feeder and XR Edge gun and more athttp://members.dslextreme.com/users/waynecook/index.htm

Reply:Most of those are good reels from what I hear. But they are fairly expensive as well.  Here's some more threads on reels and there's probably a lot more out there but you might get some good ideas from these.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ighlight=reelshttp://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ighlight=reelshttp://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ighlight=reelsMillermatic 252XMT 304'sDynasty 280DXHypertherm PowerMax 1250Miller Trailblazer 302 EFIOptima PulserXR feeder and XR Edge gun and more athttp://members.dslextreme.com/users/waynecook/index.htm
Reply:I would look into the 50" LED bars that the off roaders use to light up the desert.  VERY Bright for the 12V power draw. Rigid LED's and Vision X are two well respected brands.   Also http://www.towtruckleds.com/ has some pretty awesomely bright bars at very reasonable prices.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
