I am a MIG welder at the moment but I previously was fluxcore (preferred career) and I have a new interview/weld test tomorrow and it is with 045 fluxcore 3g weld 1 pass. Should be pretty easy. I was just curious on the settings most of you would use for this because i have never used 045 fluxcore I have always 1/16 or 3/32. Again I need to know what settings would be best used and maybe some techniques most of you would use for the vertical up.! Thanks! I am nervous
Reply:I can't help you with settings. I just turn dials until I'm happy. With dual shield or self shielded wire I build a shelf first, then point the gun slightly down.
