Reply:Found this online not sure if it is the one for your particular welder http://www.joeswelding.biz/info/LincolnRanger8.pdfbut it says you can tig with a ranger 8. looks to be for a newer one you may want to use your serial # and check for a owners manual. Will Supports Autism Awareness My ToysBobCat 225 PLusMillermatic 130Miller Spectrum 300 CutmateEverlast Power Tig 185 Micro April is Autism Month .
Reply:Yes you can. Take a look at Tozzi's thread. he pretty much covers what you will need to make this work for basic scratch start tig.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=38106Looks like from the link Steelwill provided that there is a tig module that will give you HF start that you can get for the model Ranger he linked. Looks like there is also a kit that will let you run a remote with the Ranger for tig. ( K892-1) for the remote connector kit, and ( K857 or K857-1 for the actual 6 pin remote. Looks like you may also need the KK936-3 remote cable kit to connect the remote connector kit to the K 930-2 Tig module. I'd check with Lincoln to make sure there aren't more parts to this that I might have missed quickly scanning the PDF.Looks like it depends how far you want to get involved in this..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
