I'm learning to weld using a Hobart Handler 140 with .030 flux core wire. Everything looks good for a beginner, I guess, but I get lots of splatter, is this normal for flux core or am I doing something wrong? Here is the picture of the beads I was running:http://i.imgur.com/RQZKi1Z.jpg
Reply:Flux core is usally a little messy, however I would recommend you turn up your wire speed a little and try to stay more consistent with your weaving motion. Have fun!
Reply:Start burning lines first, and reduce your stick out a bit. FCAW is a bit messy. Clean metal helps reduce splatter.
Reply:Need to change your settings. Looks cold, are you getting a "pop pop pop" vibration?
