I was challenged in another thread to weld left handed with the positioner..Who am I to say "NO" and keep everyone hanging..Not very easy at first but after about 15 seconds...Note in the pic how everything is a mirror image in relation to how I usually do it...( I did not bother switching feet because I do that all the time anyway)....Only got thru 3 pieces of filler before I had to stop..My fingers on my "New" torch hand is not used to all this heat but whatthehell I gave it my best shot..NOW....Who is going to be next to skate to the face-off circle and score a goal with a wrong handed stick?...zap!Last edited by zapster; 04-30-2013 at 04:08 PM.I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Nicely done!  I'm pretty sure you can weld better than most of us even using your feet.
Reply:Over the years I have trained myself to do everything left handed, from swinging a hammer to tig welding. Being able to do anything out of position with the wrong hand has saved me tons of time over the years.

Reply:I believe it is good practice to be able to weld either handed. Quite often I have to weld left handed and don't think much about it.I do wonder though Zap, do you ever weld anything thats not round?
Reply:I don't see what the big deal is.... I can do a lot of things with my left hand, like eat. Write, etc.... Been this way since I was born :-)Qualified & experienced at welding scrap metal
