Another welding table

Here are some pics of a welding/general purpose work table I built.  The legs are 3"x4", the upper supports are 2"x4"(2 of the end ones are 2.25"x4") and the bottom cross pieces are 2.25"x2.25". It is all 3/16" wall except the 3 top supports in the middle with are .125" wall. The feet are 1"-8 threaded swivel feet, and they are 6"x2" casters. I also put a piece of 1"x1" across the one side for a clamp hanger.  The top is 4'x4'x1/2".  The steel for the frame was free but I had to pay for the top.  There is also a 2" hitch receiver bolted underneath to take slide in tooling.Close up of one of the welds.  Feel free to critique.Here is the finished product.

Reply:Nice job!!!!   I am in the process of building one myself.......1/2 plate and drilled to accommodate some tie downs....BUT wanted to make this one adjustable height.  When I built the heavy duty saw horses, I should have made them adjustable.  I have a shop crane I could pick table up and adjust the height if needed.  Shop crane, gantry style, is also adjustable height.VERY NICE DESIGN and thought!!!!!  If you had wanted to you could have made a hangar for a vice to be portable into all locations of table.  BUT VERY NICE JOB!!!Miller Big Blue Air PakMiller 350P, Python GunHyperthermsSpool gunsMetabo GrindersWe "dooit" as a family...."a family that sleds together stays together"......from sleddin to campin to 4 wheelin to workin.....gotta enjoy life somewhere!

Reply:Very nicely done and plenty heavy duty. I like the gussets. For my own I might allow just a little more top overhang to facilitate clamping and provide toe space.
