??MIG Wire Sizes???

I'm back with another question that I need to ask.......MIG wire ER70S-6 0.023" size and 0.025" size..... What's up... am I correct is assuming that there is only 0.002" difference is diameter??Can they be used in the same tips... .023 in a .025 tip and vise versus??Why even have the two sizes so close together??Also, being left handed it is hard to keep all the examples of "Push", "Drag", "Pull" welding techniques straight in my head...... Am I the only lefty out here.....?Bye
