Bought a procon pump with motor about a year ago for a home made tig cooler project. Tonight I hooked some hoses up to it, plugged it into the socket in my 330 A/bp and checked to make sure it pumps water. And, it dont!  I tried switching the hoses around and lowering the pump to below water level and still nothing. I started to take it apart to investigate but decided I wouldnt know what to look for anyway lol. Can these be repaired?Any recomendations on where to send it if not to Procon? Thanks in advanceSafety 3rdGump
Reply:There should be a screen inside the pump.  Im pretty sure the pressure setting is under the acorn nut.  Yes they can be rebuilt.Miller Dynasty 200DXMiller Spectrum 250DMiller Millermatic 200Bunch of old blue dinosaurs....
Reply:Did you prime it first? You could take the screen out for a test. Ebay has replacement screens. You have to be careful not to run it too long dry. Edco distributing does rebuilds but you should not need one until it leaks.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li  ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
Reply:Did it freeze? Or could it have frozen? if it did, then you might just want to get another. There are veins inside the pump, that can get fouled up or they can crack. If rust sits in the pump the veins can get stuck in the retracted position and then they do not pump water. You may have to open it and clean it out.                       Sincerely,                            William McCormick
Reply:Do you have the entire procon carbonator setup: pump, with a black wire running from the pump to the reservoir? That black wire to the black cap on the reservoir is a sensor that determines if the tank is full or not. If yours is still present, you have to bypass the sensor to make the pump run on command.

Reply:PROCON pumps are ridiculously easy to rebuild.  Your biggest challenge may be removing/reinstalling the cover (referred to as nameplate) snap ring depending on how you're equipped with tooling.  A large opening vise, big C-clamp large enough to accommodate spacers (usually sockets) or press needed to compress the cover o-ring will be needed.Be advised to pay attention to the location of the alignment pin as well as front and rear "bearings" to assure reassembling with the correct rotation timing.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:Forgot to mention I used to get pump parts from a PROCON distributor in Dallas but can't remember the company name so do a Google search and pick the one you think is best for you.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
