SuperCharger for a 4 cyl

I have a brand new, still in the plastic, in the box supercharger for a Mercedes Benz. It is made my Eaton Superchargers. I need die sets for my JD2 Model 4 Bender. Anyone have a sandrail they want to supercharge? Reply:Eaton 18042 is the only number on the thing. It does have a Mercedes Benz part number if that would help ya. It is A 111 090 03 80. This thing is pretty slick, the drive pully is serpentine and has a magnetic clutch that engages and disengages the supercharger just like an A/C compressor clutch setup. I am told that this unit is worth over $2000.00 brand new, as this one is. But if someone wants to make a deal....all offeres are considered. Just trying to get some more die sets, but don't have cash to get them. That bites. All the side jobs I am doing right now, my wife takes the cash and is putting it in the bank for our 10year anniversary trip to Hawaii next year. So if I want tools, I gotta wheel and deal to get them. Which means if I REALLY want the tools, I gotta offer a GREAT deal to entice someone. Reply:A Mercedes turbo... on a chevy motor... in a Jeep?!?! Sounds like some fabricating going on there!!!Sure, I can fix it... I got a welder!!!
Reply:Actually, the guy I sold it to owns Brothers Offroad here in Yuma, AZ. He fabs up some neat stuff. His shop is across the parking lot from mine. We looked it up on the net and found that it is an eaton supercharger and we found the model #. He is using two of them on his BB502.I thought it was a 454, but actuall is a 502. He found a website with pics of an install done the same way. It is trick. I will get some pics of it when he does it. I will try to find that website and pull the pic from there too.Yeah, seeing a BB502 stuffed into his jeep is cool. Reply:I hope this guy has a garage FULL of trannies, differentials ,drive shafts , etc. with THAT kind of power he had better like replacing (broken)  parts, as a way of life
Reply:Sounds like BS to me.  With the intake ports of any V8 facing the center of the motor a large SC mounted to an intake manifold would be more ideal and have less parasitic loss than 2 smaller SCs.  Now twin turbos I could understand.
Reply:Its not that far fetched. Look at the paxton superchargers. They are set up similar to turbos. If the right tranny is used there will be no trouble. I'm using a 2.5 ton truck's (duece) 5 speed trans behind my big block. They are rated at 28,000 lbs.
