Reply:Lock them up, people will steal them off your truck just for scrap. Recently, a friend had 200' stolen.Side noteWe had several tornadoes come through here a couple of weeks ago. On the news they interviewed a couple of guys who were going around taking destroyed A/C units and any other copper wire they could take. They guys were saying since it wasn't good for anything they felt they were helping the clean up effort. Immediately after the interview the news crew reported them to the police. They got another story as the guys were carted off to jail.
Reply:Poor guys! Just tryin to earn a buck.
Reply:This is a tough moral decision. I think whether right or wrong Id personally have looked the other way.IF it Catches...Let it Burn
Reply:Naw, not unless they had the permission of the property owners. I don't care if it was destoyed, someone still owns it. They could turn it in for scrap if they want to. Or give it to them if they don't want to deal with it. Some people don't, but until they have that permission their looting thieves.
Reply:I personally would have filled their @ss full of buckshot if they tried to steal anything off my property, natural disaster or not, it's still somebody's property. Stealin' is wrong...GET A JOB!!! And...NO MEANS NO ;-)I weld just to keep my snow plows ready for next Winter!
Reply:I absolutely agree with Spuddown,, if it ain't yers it belongs to someone else, peroid. I don't care if an item looks abandoned, neglected and forsaken it's the right of the owner to determine that item's disposition. PERIOD! A thief is a thief. |
