I guess that's enough qualifiers in the title Intro stuff: I am new to this forum and to welding, but am not new to forums or automotive work.  Background info: Just got a Central 130 from a friend.  Ordered gloves, helmet, 2lb spool of wire, and now I am trying to figure out the cylinder situation. I think a 40cf tank will definitely be enough for me (probably won't even use it for 10 minutes total a week, unless I find more time to practice).  I found one on ebay here.  I know Tractor Supply won't refill non-TS customer owned tanks, but I talked to Laurel Bottled Gas, Inc and they said they would.  Question: Is there anything about the tank I found (linked above) that flashes "DO NOT BUY", due to incompatibility with most refillers, or for some other reason?  I am new to this, and while it would be nice to save some cash on the tank, it would also not be nice to waste that money on a tank that no one can refill.I appreciate all help/guidance and especially patience.ThanksMichael

Reply:Oxygen Supply is part of BR Welding, located around Waldorf.  BR has been around a long time and I haven't heard anything bad about them.Edit: As Gravel says, 80 CF is better.  Check the price with your local welding supply. Also, call Oxygen Supply/BR Welders and see what they can do for you.Last edited by Oldendum; 10-28-2014 at 01:33 PM."USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA  Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder
Reply:A 40cf tank is only good for about 2 hours.I would go with a 80 or 92 around $200 at your LWSwww.georgesplasmacuttershop.comPlasma Cutter and Welder Sales and Repairs--Ebay storeTec.Mo. Dealer Consumables for the PT and IPT torch's
Reply:Laurel Bottle and Gas is typically cheaper than the others in the area.I know the carry 80s of CO, C25 and argon in stock (you probably want 25% CO2, 75% Argon, AKA C25).The question is, what can you get an 80 for that is within inspection.  Why not call up Laurel Bottle and Gas and ask them the outright price for an 80?Oh, and Laurel Bottle and Gas has Sunday hours (or at least they had)Con Fuse!Miller Dynasty 350Millermatic 350P-Spoolmatic 30AMiller Multimatic 200Hypertherm PowerMax 1000G3Miller Maxstar 200DX
