Reply:I haven't made one but I've been thinking about it for a long time now. I'm no trailblazer so I've been looking for something to follow. So far, nothing. On the other hand, I'm in a unique situation where I need a very large housing so I don't know if I'm likely to find plans for the size I need. Nothing looks more ridiculous than a hefty 6' tall 2'x2" pillar with a tiny little lantern on the top. Here is the closest I have come up with. http://www.instructables.com/id/Begi...oor-Fireplace/It looks like a few modifications (add a base pole and substitute frosted glass for expanded metal) might turn out a nice large fixture. What do you think? Too much of a reach?
Reply:A guy here made one out of 100% copper. It was quite amazing..Miller: 200dx, Bobcat 225, Passport, Powermax 45, Milwaukee: Dry Saw, MagDrill, grinders
Reply:I weld a bunch of light fixtures for a designer. Usually all out of copper but sometimes in aluminum and steel.http://all-a-cart.comWelding Cart Kits and accessories |
