Pantograph cutter

Does anyone have an old pantograph style flame cutter they don't use any more?  I'd like to play with one a bit and see how well they work.  I know you can buy the plans for them from Torchmate still, but would rather be lazy and get my hands on a complete one...Any ideas where to find one REASONABLE?  There is someone on ebay making new ones and selling them for well over $1000 - that's way too much.  For that I could buy all the stuff I need to build the CNC gantry that is phase II of this project...Thank you,Jason

Reply:Actually, I'm not too worried about the plans.  If I do build one it will be to my own version.  It's not that complicated of a design really.  What I am curious about in the plans is the section on making the magnetic drive wheel.  I figured I'd be getting creative ordering a cylindrical rare earth magnet from McMaster Carr and pressing it inside a very thin walled steel tube that I knurled before boring it out.  Not sure if that made sense, but that's what I had in mind.  How do the plans tell you to make the spindle?  Any small variable speed gear reduction motor would work - was even thinking about gutting an old cheapo 3/8 electric drill for that matter.
