I just ordered an Eastwood MIG175 just to have another toy to play with, and wanted to get a head start on getting extra consumables, but nowhere can I find differences for tips and nozzles. For starters, correct me if I'm wrong on these three things 1.  Eastwood's MIG175 uses a Tweco Mini #1 gun?  Pretty sure I've identified it correctly, but want to make sure. 2.  If #1 is correct, I see that it uses 11-series tips in standard, tapered, and heavy duty varieties. 3. Again assuming #1 is correct, I see that it uses 21-series nozzles, that are available with orifices in diameters of 3/8", 1/2", and 5/8" BUT ALSO those same three orifice diameters with a "flush" designation. 4.  The spool gun also uses the same tips/nozzles as the regular gun?For #2, Under what circumstances would one need standard tips VS tapered tips VS heavy duty tips?  I can only guess that the tapered tips allow for using the 3/8" nozzle to get into tight(er) spots?   If so, then the heavy duty tips which are just a smidge thicker are for using with the 5/8" nozzle for better gas coverage?  Would the heavy duty tips/large nozzle "handle" more heat before the gun starts to get close to it's duty cycle? For #3Since the "flush" nozzles obviously are sized to have the nozzle flush with the contact tip, does that mean that the standard nozzles are longer to recess the tip inside, or are they shorter to have the contact tip protruding out?
Reply:Who did you order from ???  Call them for parts. If they don't have any tell them you are gonna cancel the order. Boy, if you can't get BASIC parts,   I hope to don't have machine issues.
Reply:You can get dimensions if you look at each part number here:  http://www.victortechnologies.com/tw...Code=TWE622111Some model references here:  http://weldingdirect.com/eawepltoandc.html"USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA  Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder

Reply:Originally Posted by copeRecessed is for Spray Transfer where you are running high amperage.  You can't get into Spray range with that welder.  I have never seen a need to extend the tip, YMMV.  What is the stock set up?

Reply:Really, sure sounds like telling him what to do, as in cancel the order, and yes it was a useless reply... Originally Posted by BD1Who did you order from ???  Call them for parts. Reply:Originally Posted by karuI bought the same welder from Eastwood. Welder is fantastic however the nozzles they sell are absolute rubbish. They come off the insulation after few uses. After measuring several times, I figured the nozzle size is 21-50F. This is a 1/2" tweco style nozzle. Here is the link where I bought it fromhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/200810704098...84.m1497.l2649Also the tips arehttp://www.ebay.com/itm/200722739195...84.m1497.l2649WARNING! Tips were slightly longer than I liked. You also can buy exact same sized tips from Harbor freight.Just search for 21-50F nozzles (My guess is F stands for flush???) which is the generic size of the nozzle. There should be lots of places selling it including your local welding supplier.I made the mistake of just picking a tweco style nozzle which had the right thread but longer than what I had.If you need actual measurements to compare, try weldingcity.com
