End Return?

I am working on a project at work where we are making 3/16 aluminum fillet welds. I am trying to figure out whether or not to end return the welds. do I stand to  gain anything from end returning? Should I not do it? I am looking for some actual published data (AWS maybe?). Any help would be great.Thanks.Rybot
