So, I haven't posted anything in quite some time, so here goes.I made this sunflower about 9 months ago for a girl I liked a lot. Unfortunately she didn't think the same about me... I am not sure what she ever did with it, but it was made for her and only her.The petals are random spoons I picked up at a thrift store. The stem is just round bar I beat the hell out of with a ball peen hammer to give it a more organic look. The pictures don't show it well, but the stem has a nice curvyness to it. It took a little bit to figure out the center of the flower, but I ended up hammering it out of 16ga sheet metal. I figured it would look neat over time with a rusty center and stem and shiny stainless petals. Attached ImagesMiller Millermatic 212... and that's about it... for now...

Reply:Just give the girls real flowers
save the metal art gifts for the one you marry. And even then, wait until she's put up with your sh!t for many years! http://www.facebook.com/LockhartMetalArthttp://www.facebook.com/pages/Grumpy...44306259043484
Reply:I like it! 3 leaves offset up the stem would be a nice touch!
Reply:I like it. Very pretty and creative use of spoons as a sunflower, like the texturing on the middle part and the stem. Mom will appreciate it more. Well done!
Reply:I wished that the girl was my daughter and I am gonna get it from her. Just kidding! That was really sweet. That is very creative and beautiful.PlasmaCam CNC cutterLathe and Band SawClamps
