Hi,I'am new to this fourm and welding. Just Got a Thermal Arc 300GTSW and don't have a foot control If you have one please let me know :-) Looking for a water cooler and tig torch too. Thanks all Don
Reply:FYI, SSC Controls is the OEM for the TA 8-pin foot control. They don't normally sell the TA control direct the to the public, but if you give them a call they may be able to hook you up with one...
Reply:Thanks sstorkel :-) Do they have a web site or phone?
Reply:Yes they do. I don't remember it off-hand, but it's the first or second link that comes up if you google for 'SSC Controls', IIRC.
Reply:Thanks :-)
Reply:they make real nice controles, you can find them on e-bay also. i got one for about $140. good quality stuff. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.
Reply:As an added possibility for your foot control, you can find out what size potentiometer your system requires and maybe find a used pedal from another manufacturer. If the potentiometer is correct, but the plug and number of pins is not, change the plug. I found AMP and Amphenol brand plugs and pins through Allied Electronics. My Thermal arc PS3000 uses a 10K ohm potentiometer. There are also fellows who have made their own foot pedals, sorry I don't have any links handy, but I've run across a few in the last year. For what it is, foot pedals are WAY OVER PRICED! |
