i have a pair of leather gloves that i have been using for stick welding not that long. my problem is that last week my left hand got really close when i was welding and now the fingers are pretty stiff. its annoying and a pain in the butt to grab and use tools. is there any way to soften the glove up?

Reply:I started putting neatsfoot oil on a old pair of gloves. It is making them softer but the finger is still short.

Reply:Yes you are right they will never be the same.
Reply:Heat is used to harden leather. Sometimes it is useful to make a hard stable shape, other times, such as drying leather boots by the fire it destroys them.
