Forgot to get a pic of this. Last week I was welding a base on a decorative aluminum spear point. Was turning it over with a pair of pliers and dropped it. Here is where it landed. Lots of smoke from the burning foam and lots of jumping from yours truly unassing the chair. If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before the bag of luck is empty."-Grandad circa 1990ish
Reply:All that melted foam must have been a bitch to clean up to finish welding. I might get a chair someday, but I'm still young and stupid (mid 30s is still young, right?) and prefer standing while I weld.Lincoln Precision Tig 185Lincoln Power Mig 256Hypertherm PM 45Everlast 140STSmith O/A
Reply:I use an adjustable bench we had gotten off Amazon for my office. Soft seat that rotates with no back, adjustable height and around $70. Works great.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:I don't see a problem. A little duct tape and your chair will be good as new Originally Posted by larpheadForgot to get a pic of this.
