Evolution 14" Rage 2 dry cut saw

I just took the dive and purchased from Sears online the Evolution Rage 2 14" dry cut SAW. I saw the demo and my tool budget for this quarter was minimal and needed to get a cutting, i paid $270 to my door. Anyone have any experience with Evolution, good, bad, will it die in a week. Reply:I haven't had mine too long but I really like it.  You got a very good deal on it.  The blades are pretty expensive but the cuts are fast and smooth.  I have heard that Freud makes a Diablo blade that works well on the saw.  I have also seen blades on ebay.Jim
Reply:Jim, that shop is entirely too clean to work in, lol  I have a friend who has a hand held evolution saw and it has done very well for the few years he has had it.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if I was in the market.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......

Reply:Jim's right, it has a more of a machining sound then the abrasives, Evolution states that the DB level is 112.  Well i unpacked mine set it up a cut some angle, cut perfect and no need to clean up the cut. Reply:Just a word of warning - make sure that the work is clamped securely in the vise and go slow. I had a short piece of angle get loose yesterday and it flung it across the shop and removed 3 teeth from the blade.
