Outdoor Speaker Stands

We're in a strange weather pattern here, so no field work is being done, and can't even cut hay.  So I've been doing the little things I've been putting off.My outdoor speaker stands, made out of wood, have finally rotted away and it's time for some new ones.  What with the Summer being sorta here, it's a killer not to be able to hear tunes out back of the house on Beer NiteNot really a complicated deal, cut the pieces in lull between rain storms.  And got a start on tacking stuff up.These will be the trays to hold the speakers.  15" x 15".  I have older Yamaha bookshelf speakers, rated at 140 watts that I use outside, and this should fit them as well as any larger ones I might have to, or want to, use in the future if the Yamaha's ever fail (they're about 20yrs old, and the last of the GOOD ones)Tack one, then use it for the template for the second."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/

Reply:Samm, what kind and shade of lens are you using?  I switched from a gold 10 in my pancake hood to a silver/blue 9 and I really like it.  I got the new lens at Victor welding supply in Tulsa.  The lens looks silver, but looking thru it has a bluish tint to it.  Main reason I switched, I really like the gold lens for stick (7018 and 70/8010), it worked fine for MIG also... But trying to learn TIG, I had a hard time seeing what I was doing.  I'm sure TIG would be easier to learn with an auto-dark, or a flip down conventional helmet, but it is what it is, I use what I have...PLUS, the pancake is what I'll be using 99 percent of the time anyway, so might as well learn with what I use.I'm not sure if the big difference is in the color of the lens, or the shade.  They didn't have a 10 when I got this one, so I got the 9.  I know the puddle clarity on stick is better with it as well.  I can more easily distinguish what's going on.  Just throwing ideas out there...-------------------------Chemetron AC/DC 300 HFSnap-On MM300L Lincoln SP140 Lincoln AC/DC 225g Lincoln SA200 Lincoln SA200 Miller Bobcat 225GVictor torchesH&M and Mathey beveling machinesMcElroy Plastic pipe fusion
