I just purchased a JD2 Tubing Bender. The manual version. I also have a set of 1 1/2 dies, 5.5 CLR 0.83 min wall thickness. My question is what is the maximum wall thickness that you can bend with the manual version. Thanks Dusty.

Reply:Thanks For the reply. I am going to be building a cage for my drag truck and some tube parts for my friends truck. I was hoping it would bend that thickness of material. I appreciate your response and help. Thanks again Dusty.
Reply:1/4" wall tube is waaaay to heavy for a roll cage. 1/8" wall is plenty.

Reply:Yeah I didn't plan on using .250" wall for roll cage. I was just making sure that the bender would bend .250. I will be making some pieces to add to a S&W Race Cars cage and it is .134 wall thickness. Thanks for all the info I greatly appreciate it. Dusty. |
