Welding with an SA-200 (Video)

Goodmorning, WeldingWeb!!Well, I'm under the impression that a few people might get a *small* amount of enjoyment from those cool old Lincoln engine drive welders, so here's a video I thought I'd post This machine belongs to Peter, a buddy of mine that I've shot a number of videos with. Its a 1968 Sa-200 and yes, it DOES weld smooth! I'd never gotten to run one before I tried his out... We burned some 7018 and a little FCAW-G with a feeder...They're bad@$$ old machines, for sure. This particular unit might be looking a little pale, but its been load-bank tested, fires right up, and is mechanically sound...Anyway, here's the video:I really do hope y'all enjoy it... Sure was fun to make...And while I'm here... I've done a little soul-searching lately, and discovered that I really shouldnt involve myself with internet p*ssing matches, for a variety of reasons. I though about just not posting here anymore, but I really DO like this forum and 95% of the good folks on it. I've got a lot of friends here, I've sure learned a lot here, and I dont want to leave. Its like they say, if you've never had any haters, you've never done anything. So, instead of getting into forum brawls with people who enjoy picking apart everything I do for whatever reason, I'll just use the "ignore" button from now on I apoligize for that little P.S.A, anyway, hope y'all like the video! Reply:Wookie exactly what i was thinking ...... missing the goodness of an sa 200 unless you run some cellulose rods. Got to do some downhilling to really see how well they stack. and push a few beads in a jammed fit and you can understand why pipliners love em. Can tell you my disad-- Vantage 300 cant push beads in on a jam like an old 200 will.
