Reply:That seems like a bad place to strap over... may have been the reason for the break in the first place. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger

Reply:Maybe he should have that depth finder transducer mounted on the front instead so he see it's too shallow going in rather than after the fact Boating by braille ...LOL ..not good for the hullNice fixBacked my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me  What would SATAN do ?? Reply:The transducer needs "clean water" at the bottom of the hull.  That IMO, is probably the best place for it.
Reply:Those rear ties are really only there to keep the boat from bouncing on the trailer, those ratchets barely get tight (have the same ones on my boat), My guess is that that piece wiggled just enough to break the welds off, initial crack could have happened on the water with the bouncing on the trailer finally finishing it off.
Reply:Ironman, that really depends on who's doing the strapping. I know every boat I've every seen loaded the straps are cranked as tight as the person can get them. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
Reply:He called today, when he got home from the lake, he noticed a pin sized hole leaking...I welded the top and bottom of the bracket, the hole was in the top side of the bottom.I guess I blew a hole and didn't see it, it was small, but there.I fixed it.But while fixing... My new machine started acting up (shuddering, like startvng for fuel)It was after 5, miller was closed.ill let y'all know what miller says
Reply:You did a fine job welding it back on but the reason the bracket was held on with "tack" welds is so when it hits something it will break away as it did instead of ripping a big hole in the pontoon.
