Reply:Nice job on the hood. You did good at controlling the heat(preventing warpage) on those large flat panels. Is that your welding school shop ? Looks nicely equipped.

Reply:Both were major concernsYes, that was wyotech. Been out of the game for a couple years but plan on getting into it heavy shortly.The 3/8" bar that ran across the top of the back of the cowl and down to the base of the hood was so that the cowl would not bounce or vibrate when driving at freeway speeds. or if someone pushed on it. With the bar welded in you could almost stand on the back lip.Thanks guys!

Reply:Thanks! Yeah I really didnt want to pay $800 for a all steel cowl hood, and Fiberglass just seemed a little blah for that truck. So I spent $90 and made my own!! I've seen some pretty horrible ones on google images but theres a few nice ones too.
