I am looking at a Thermadyne Cutmaster 38 plasma cutter that is used and in excellent condition. What would a fair value be? Thanks in advance, jwr2200.
Reply:Best place to check stuff like that would be ebay...There is one there now that has a (buy-it-now) button for $750...I would bet somewhere between $500 and that price would be a fair price, if it's in really good condition.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:smithboy is spot on. I bought one on ebay with a "buy it now" for $750 several months ago. It is in excellent condition and the guy threw in some spare tips, electrodes, and o-rings. I shopped and shopped for a Cutmaster, and never found one below $750 on ebay while I was keen on getting one. That's okay, because my shopping luck has been good, lately. I just lucked into a deal for a 1994 Hobart Porta-Feed suitcase feeder in very good condition (well under $300 shipped!) I had been shopping for a wire-feeder for 18 months! By the way, I love my Cutmaster 38, and feel like $750 was not too much to spend.cricman |
